A Secondary Market Print “Available” from Plane Junkie!
With this post I wanted to let everyone know that we now do Aviation Art Appraisals and Valuations for the IRS and insurance purposes. The Appraisals that we provide are complete with IRS forms and directions if you are using them for tax purposes. A regular appraisal for valuation would come with out IRS forms and could be used for insurance if you need to add a rider onto your homeowners insurance.
Many of us, me included, own some pretty valuable aviation art and would just cry if it was destroyed, but if it’s insured, at least you could be compensated for that monetary loss.
Let me know via e-mail or call me at 800-228-8144 Continue reading →

Race Team Apparel Update -
I’ve got a verbal confirmation with another race team that races T-6′s at Reno and will be firming up our agreement with them in the next week or two. The unlimited teams haven’t responded yet but we’ll be pushing to add them on the site right after the holidays.
Additions to the Aviation Art Line up -
Up to this point we’ve been adding Dru Blair images onto the site. We’re about half way there and still posting. The next addition to the site will probably be Roy Grinnell. Roy has been the main artist for the Fight Ace’s Association and has an entire collection of art that is unique and carry’s with it, fighter ace’s mainly from WWII but there are some special prints intermixed that have other pilots. Keep posted and we will let you know when these are up on the site.
That’s all the news for now. Have a great holiday and hopefully you’ll get the aviation present you’ve been looking at. If not, come on back to Plane Junkie and get it ’till December 31st for 20% OFF.
I started this blog to mainly document and track the success of our new and exciting Aviation Site. I began this journey last year building three other sites, two of which were art related sites and one was a jewelry site. Armed with all that new web knowledge I began to build the site I have been wanting to build for years. A place that someone enamored with airplanes can go to purchase the best in aviation art, flight apparel, watches, models, and other cool stuff related to the Reno Air Races.
Why Reno? We’ll my friends and I have been going to the races for years and we can never get enough of the races all year. Our only problem was that some of the teams didn’t have web sites or the ones that did, didn’t have stores to buy their shirts, hats, clocks ect. after the races. If we didn’t get to their pit area soon enough they’d be out of the shirts we wanted. So I’m trying to make available all of the team shirts up on our site. This should give all of us one place to buy “Official” Air Race Apparel right here.
[Please feel free to add your comments, stories, and general aviation interests here on the blog. Oh… and did I mention photos? No I don’t think I did. If you’ve got some cool photos feel free to post these also. Great images of planes or places you’ve been, like Oshkosh or a mountain lake, are always welcome.
Thank for letting me bend your ear. I’ll keep you all updated as we start to add more artists and other unique aviation collectibles.

Stearmans at Oshkosh ’09
Hello my fellow Plane Junkies! We’ve now been open for business for about one month. I have most of the items up on the site that I first wanted, but there still are more items to be added in many of the tabs. I’ll try to let everyone know what is being added and when we’ve added them via our blog book.
Please feel free to add your comments, requests and photos to the blog. I am striving for this to be an open forum for pilots, and plane junkie to post what they like and what they would like to see. I’ve been in this business for over 20 years and know where to get most things in the aviation world, so don’t hold back.
